A. A Topic Page is simply a (sponsored) page with links and keywords related (or potentially related) to a given topic. For example, a Topic Page for prayer may include a variety of links related to prayer (e.g. Scripture related to prayer, Reflections related to prayer, user-submitted articles related to prayer, commercial links related to prayer, etc.) all on one page.
A. Topic Pages are sponsored and may combine a greater assortment of related (or potentially related) links and/or keywords on a given page than other pages of this site. Also, in contrast to many other pages on this site, links and keywords ("Related Terms") may be the primary content on Topic Pages. Topic Pages may also contain a logo such as the one below. [Note: For more information on "Related Terms", see below]
A. "Related Terms" on Topic Pages are keywords that persons might use in reference to a given topic. They may or may not be directly related to links provided on Topic Pages. Inclusion of "Related Terms" on Topic Pages may assist visitors in locating relevant (or potentially relevant) information. However, note that inclusion of any term does not imply endorsement of the term, nor does it guarantee that relevant information will be available for any given term(s). Users should note that "Related Terms" may be 'theologically incorrect' / slang / misspellings / imprecise / repetitive / questionable / offensive / not relevant / not Catholic / etc. "Related Terms" are not necessarily recommended by us. We may or may not include a notation (e.g. an apostrophe) beside an improper term (e.g. 'Catholic divorce'). One should be careful to avoid error / confusion / etc. with regard to "Related Terms". For example, the term "Catholic Saints" may be listed as a "Related Term" (since persons may make use of this term for search purposes), but one should not get the impression that there are saints outside the Catholic Church. Likewise, a Topic Page may include "Related Terms" such as "abortion provider", "divorce attorney", etc. because users may search for such terms, however, this does not mean such professions (or services) are appropriate for Catholics (or others). Also note that "Related Terms" on Topic Pages may NOT be clickable.
A. Items may appear on Topic Pages in any order. Most relevant items may or may not appear first.
A. Topic Pages may or may not include every relevant link on this site.
A. First, please note that the links provided on a Topic Page may be the most relevant links available for a given topic. Even if you do not think certain link(s) are relevant at first glance, you might want to give them a second look to be more certain. Second, you might want to consider our general help resources for assistance (click here). Third, if we do not have the material you are looking for on our site (or even if we do), you may want to consider links to other Catholic web sites (click here). [Note: This assumes a Topic Page is available for your desired topic. If a Topic Page is not available for your desired topic, skip the item above marked "first"]
