Notice: Newsletter Delivery

Help Ensure Delivery of Your Newsletter
Please put
our e-mail addresses (for both our regular newsletter AND our news
updates) in your 'trusted senders' list - or use other applicable
options your e-mail provider may offer to let them know you want our
e-mail. Large e-mail providers attempt to protect their customers from
unwanted e-mail, but their 'impersonal' methods can't determine with
accuracy which e-mail is solicited and which is junk mail, therefore
delivery problems may be reduced by letting them know in advance that
certain mail is wanted.
Thank You! |

Message To Rosary Week Participants
Dear Friend,
Greetings in Christ!
Please allow us to express our most sincere appreciation for your
participation in our First Annual 'Rosary Week'. Your participation
helped to make this event a success. We are sure that you must have many
demands on your time and we therefore especially value the charitable
commitment you have made. It is our hope that God will generously reward
you for your participation.
Also, as an expression our appreciation for your participation, you will
be remembered in a Traditional Latin ('Tridentine') Mass to be said by
the Priestly Fraternity St Peter. We have requested that this Mass be
said for all 'Rosary Week' participants. Please note that the Priestly
Fraternity was erected as an institute of pontifical right by the Holy
See in October of 1988 (their twofold mission is "the formation and
sanctification of priests in the cadre of the traditional liturgy of the
Roman rite, and secondly, the pastoral deployment of the priests in the
service of the Church").
Thanks again for joining us. We are very grateful for your
participation.
God
bless you!
"... returning thanks
for your goodwill, we implore the mercy of our God to repay you with
good in body and soul here and in the world to come." (Pope St. Gregory
the Great)
P.S. If you would like to share any suggestions, comments, experiences,
etc. regarding 'Rosary Week', please contact us. We may use your
feedback to help make next year's Rosary Week even better.

We are pleased to
announce the 1 year anniversary of the 'official unveiling' of
MyCatholicSource.com
We sincerely thank
you for your support of this site over the past year. It is our hope
that we may continue to provide quality Catholic content in the years to
come, by the grace of God, and for the glory of God.
Did You Know?
Although the 'official unveiling' of this
site occurred in October 2008, we have been working on it continuously
since 2001. We did not did not want to release the site in bits & pieces
(except some fliers), so we waited to "go live" until it was ready for
public viewing in Oct. '08.

Newsletter Changes
|
As of 7/1/09, our newsletter
will be split into two parts: (1) Our regular newsletter and (2) a brief
"news synopsis" (e.g. recent headlines of interest to Catholics). If
desired, subscribers may "opt out" of the news synopsis by following the
instructions provided in the e-mail.
We believe these changes are
beneficial for various reasons, such as: (1) Keeping our regular
newsletter shorter and maintaining a "holier" focus, (2) Providing more
timely news updates, (3) Allowing us to better accommodate the
preferences of our subscribers.
We hope you will find this
change beneficial.

Notice: Widescreen Monitor Users
|
Do You Use A Widescreen
Monitor?
Since a widescreen monitor tends to "make everything wide", some may
distort pages on this site. If this occurs, we recommend adjusting
monitor settings. For example, if the top line wraps to two lines (it
shouldn't) or if the layout or text otherwise looks uneven, try
adjusting the text size in your browser (e.g. in Internet Explorer,
select "View", then "text size", then "smallest"). If you still have
difficulties, please
let us know. We are working on ways to
make this site appear more uniform across multiple screens / browsers
and we would appreciate your feedback.

Notice Re: MyCatholicSource.com Ads
|
Did
you see our ads on another site?
Please note that we are presently running a number of ad campaigns on
major search engines. Search partner sites and other affiliated sites
may pick up these ads from our campaigns and display them on their sites
as they deem them applicable to their content. This is essentially an
automated process and - with a few exceptions - we did not choose to
have our ads on any specific site, nor do we recommend or endorse any
other site. We regret that there is a possibility that our ads may
appear on inappropriate or undesirable sites. However - should this
occur - we hope that those who choose to click our ads may be assisted
by the information that is contained on our site.

Masking E-Mail Addresses
|
Masking E-Mail Addresses
Unfortunately, automated robots
scan the Internet to "harvest" e-mail addresses in order to send
unsolicited e-mail. As indicated, we recommend omitting your e-mail
addresses with posts or using a separate e-mail account that you may
quickly abandon if unwanted e-mail becomes a problem. You may also
"mask" your e-mail address so that it is readable to humans but may be
less likely to be picked up by automated systems. For example, an e-mail
address may be masked as "sample(at)sample(dot)com" [to use this e-mail
address, it would be necessary to exchange "@" for "(at)" and "." for
"(dot)"]. Please feel free to use any reasonable / appropriate system to
mask your e-mail address if you choose to include it. However, please
make sure that humans can easily decipher the address if you are going
to include it. Also, please note that we reserve the right to mask
e-mail addresses at any time if we choose to do so.

make searching user posts even easier, we have added a 'Quick Search'

To locate the 'Quick Search'
feature, refer to the shaded box on each applicable section's search

for search pages).
To use the 'Quick Search
feature', simply enter in

Tip:
'Quick Search' uses "or" criteria. Therefore, for best

'Quick Search' feature.
Notice:
It should be noted that the 'Quick Search' feature may be helpful,
depending upon the search criteria. However, the 'Quick Search' field
may not search all fields. Note that we make no guarantees regarding

Change to Add Forms For User Posts
&
Ad Content Submissions
To
help reduce the quantity of duplicate submissions, Add pages for user
posts and ads (e.g. ad content submission forms) may now clear upon loading. If you are submitting a post
(or ad) and want
to view another web page, try opening it in a new window. This
may prevent the resetting of the Add page (or content submission form). Note: In some cases, the
resetting of a form may clear data that a user does not wish to clear.
We regret any inconvenience.

Please Note the Following Regarding User
Posts / Ads...
|
*
We generally recommend that you prepare your posts (and ads) in a word
processing program where you may spell check them, count characters, and
save the text in case there is a problem with your submission. Once
your post (or ad) is ready, you may copy/paste it into the applicable fields on
the Add page (or content submission form). To help ensure that your post (or ad) will appear on this site,
please be
sure to spell check your entry before submitting it [you may
copy/paste your entry into a word processing program to perform a spell
check]. Note that posts (and ads) with typographical errors may be subject to auto
rejection.
*
Please watch your scroll button when on a drop down field. If a
drop down field is highlighted the scroll button is used, undesired
results may occur (i.e. the selection for that field may change).
*
ALWAYS check ALL fields before submitting your post (or ad)!
*
The confirmation page (or "form confirmation") may display
results in any order. You should not worry about the order that
items appear on this page. Also, this page may include various internal
/ informational fields which may or may not be included with your post
[e.g. submit, count (which may be based on the displayed value, rather
than actual values - note that it is not necessary to worry about
any values submitted with count fields!), etc.]. You may generally ignore these items.
*
Fields with word limits (e.g. headline fields with limit of 5-10
words) should be adhered to. However, you may exclude small
words from the count (e.g. "I", "an",
"the", "a", etc.).
*
Headline / summary fields may appear more visually pleasing when initial
capitals are used (e.g. "This is a Sample Headline" rather
than "This is a sample headline")
*
Pages may clear at various times (e.g. upon reload, upon hitting the
Escape key, when hitting the Reset button, etc.). To avoid data loss,
you should keep a copy of your submission in a word processing program.
*
Fields that indicate a maximum limit of 250 characters may accept the
input of more than 250 characters. However, they are limited to
submitting only 250 characters. Do not enter more than 250
characters in any such field.
NEW!
For your convenience, we have added a button to various fields with a 250 character limit which may be used to count characters in the associated field. By
default, the count field shows "0". To display an updated
count, click the button next to the field (e.g. labeled "Click For
Character Count"). You may press this button at any time after
making changes for an updated count.
*
If you have difficulty fitting your post within the 250 character
limit, note that most (non-commercial) sections allow a total of 750 characters
(divided into three 250 character fields). You may split your post up in
any appropriate way to fit it within these limits [it is even acceptable
to break a paragraph in the middle of a sentence when necessary -
however, this may affect the search results]. Note: This applies only
to non-commercial sections.
*
Do not hit the Enter key or press the Submit button more
than once, even if the system is slow! If you do so (even if you do so
in quick succession), your post (or ad) may be seen as a duplicate and all
copies of it may be automatically rejected.
