"What is the Catholic
Church's view on free will/destiny? Do we make our own destiny or is it already

We have free will and
therefore make our own choices. God does not "force" us, however, God already
knows what we will choose. But keep in mind that God's foreknowledge of our
choices is entirely different than God choosing for us. Some persons who promote
false concepts of "fate" or "destiny" risk denying free will and therefore run
the risk of falling under anathema. According to the Council of Trent...
"If any one
saith, that, since Adam's sin, the free will of man is lost and extinguished;
or, that it is a thing with only a name, yea a name without a reality, a
figment, in fine, introduced into the Church by Satan; let him be anathema."
