* As is obvious by nature, children need a father and a mother. Placing children with homosexuals has been shown to cause them harm in the long run (for proof, try researching online). The most loving thing to do is ensure (to the extent possible) that children are raised with their two, loving natural parents (i.e. their biological mother and father) or by a loving adoptive father & mother.

* It is a MISTAKE to think that God directly wills everything that happens. God only tolerates evils, He does not directly will them. The fact that He tolerates something does not mean He directly wills it! God allows many evils (murder, pedophilia, rape, etc.), but He obviously does not directly will them! In fact, He is offended by them.

* God does NOT change – not ever! God has already told us that homosexual acts offend Him. Scripture calls such acts an abomination (see Lev. 18:22). Scripture also tells us that those who engage in such acts (and remain unrepentant) will NOT be allowed into heaven (see 1 Cor. 6:9-10). Scripture also tells us that those who engaged in such acts "serve as an example by undergoing a punishment of eternal fire" (see Jude 1:7). It is a HUGE mistake to think God will change His mind on this or any other matter! Remember that change implies imperfection - whereas God is perfect and can NEVER change. It is IMPOSSIBLE for God to change. Those who think otherwise are mistaken/deceived. For more on the unchangeableness of God, try here.

* The Church will NEVER, EVER 'marry' homosexuals. This is utterly impossible! Homosexuals can NEVER be married in the eyes of God, despite any human laws to the contrary.

* Various military leaders have said that open homosexuals serving in the military will harm this country's defense, so this policy may eventually harm the security of this nation.

* You do not seem to appreciate that homosexual acts are sinful, but they are one of only a handful of sins that 'cry to heaven'. It is a VERY SERIOUS sin. For more on homosexuality, please try here.

* One who promotes/condones others' sins (such as homosexual acts) may be an accessory to their sins.

* Those who reject Church teachings may be guilty of heresy. For more on heresy, try here.

I would suggest you make an appointment with a good priest and speak with him privately about this matter.

Also, keep in mind that no one is suggesting that homosexuals are not loved by God or cannot be forgiven for their actions. On the contrary – God loves them (NOT their sin!) and can forgive all their sins – even grave sins involving homosexual acts. However, those who are unrepentant of homosexual acts and those who have no intention of refraining from them seriously jeopardize their salvation.

Reminder: Homosexual actions are sinful, but an inclination to homosexuality that is not desired or acted upon is not sinful. Remember: While we must hate sin, we must simultaneously love sinners. Do not inflict or wish harm on homosexuals.
