In What Ways May Ad Deletions (or Deletions of Sponsorship 'Thank You Text') Be Initiated?

Ad deletions (or deletions of sponsorship 'thank you text') may be initiated in two ways: (1) Advertiser's (or sponsor's or gift sponsor's) irrevocable ad deletion request, or (2) Our initiated ad deletion request (which may be influenced by suspected fraud, user complaints, other factors, etc.). Note: For the remainder of questions herein, as applicable, the term "advertisers" may include sponsors and the term "ads" may include "sponsorship 'thank you text'".

What Does the Term 'Deleted' Mean?

The term 'deleted' with regard to ads may mean internal action(s) designed to prohibit the ad from being displayed on the site. It may not mean the ad is actually 'deleted' per se.

Are All Ads Subject to Deletion?

While all ads may be subject to deletion initiated by us, only certain ads may be eligible for advertiser requested deletion.

Which Ads Are 'Advertiser Deleteable'?

In order to be eligible for advertiser requested deletion, the ad type must allow deletions. [Note that the following ad types may allow deletions: MCS Directory Listings (excepting listings requested under our standard free ad offer), and Sponsorships (except regular sponsorships paid offline). The following ad types are NOT eligible for advertiser requested deletion: 'Sales & Specials', Classified Ads, MCS Directory Listings requested under our standard free ad offer, and regular sponsorships paid offline.] Further, note that ads must actually appear (at present) on the site in order request deletion. Finally, note that the advertiser must have all required information in order to request deletion and must have access to the 'permanent' e-mail account that was originally provided at the time of the original ad request (for gift sponsorships, this may be the giver or the recipient's e-mail address).

How Do Advertiser Deletion Requests Work?

To request deletion of an eligible ad, the advertiser must complete the ad deletion request form, providing all required data. As applicable, the advertiser may receive an e-mail within 30 days containing an ad deletion request number and a link to a form on our site that must be completed in order to complete the deletion (remember that our e-mail will not ask for personal information). This e-mail may be sent only to the 'permanent' e-mail address provided at the time of the original ad request (or, for gift sponsorships, it may also include the recipient's e-mail address). Note that we may require that all steps be completed properly, in a timely fashion, and according to all applicable instructions in order for us to proceed with the deletion request. Incomplete / inappropriate deletion requests may be subject to auto-rejection (and those who submit them may be banned from future advertising on this site).

Are Ad Deletion Requests Permanent / Irrevocable?

Advertisers' request(s) for ad deletion are irrevocable. On our end, ad 'deletion' may or may not be permanent.

How Can I Request Deletion of My Ad?

After you have read all items herein (including all linked pages referred to above and all items below), and after you are sure your ad is eligible for deletion (e.g. it is currently displayed on the site and an ad type which permits deletion requests), and after you have gathered all required information and can access the 'permanent' e-mail account originally provided at the time of the original ad request (or, for gift sponsorships, you may supply the recipient's e-mail address), click here for the ad deletion request form. Do NOT complete this form if your ad (or sponsorship 'thank you text') is not currently displayed or if your ad type is not eligible for deletion or if you do not have all required information (including your original order number - required except for gift sponsor recipients) or if you cannot access the 'permanent' e-mail account originally provided at the time of the original ad request (or recipient's e-mail address for gift sponsorships).

What If I Don't Have Access to My Original E-Mail Account or Don't Have Some / All Required Information?

If you don't have access to the 'permanent' e-mail account originally provided at the time of the original ad request or if you don't have some / all of the required information, you may not request deletion of your ad. [Note: Do not contact us for missing information or to request that your 'permanent' e-mail address be changed! Any such correspondence may be subject to auto-rejection.]

What if I Want My Ad Deleted, But it is Ineligible For Deletion?

If your ad is ineligible for deletion, you may not request deletion of your ad. [Note: Do not contact us to request deletion of an ineligible ad! Any such correspondence may be subject to auto-rejection.]

Other Important Information

Note the following important information regarding ad deletion requests:

* Do not submit more than one deletion request per eligible ad in any 90 day period. Excess deletion requests may be subject to auto rejection and those who submit them may be banned from future advertising on this site.

* We cannot assist with ad deletion requests.

* Deletion requests not submitted according to our instructions may be subject to auto rejection.

* We do not guarantee that any deletion request(s) will be honored.

* We do not guarantee that any ad will be deleted or that any deletion will be 'permanent'.

* We do not guarantee that any ad will be deleted within any given time period.

* You alone are responsible for retaining information necessary to request ad deletion. We cannot provide lost information.

* You alone are responsible for ensuring that your 'permanent' e-mail account remains valid and that unauthorized persons do not have access to it.

* Submit ad deletion request(s) for your own ad(s) only!

* Ad deletions also irrevocably terminate all renewals.

* No refunds on deleted ads.

* You alone are responsible for protecting your information / e-mail account in order to ensure that unauthorized persons do not submit ad deletion requests. We cannot 'reinstate' ads if an unauthorized ad deletion request is submitted.

* Those who request deletion of ineligible ads or submit excess deletion requests may be banned from future advertising on this site.

* It may take a long time to process deletion requests.

* We reserve the right to charge for deletion requests.

* We may limit the number of deletion requests allowed in any given period. We do not promise to consider any/all deletion request(s). Note that if we receive a large number of deletion requests in any given time (as determined by us), we may ignore them individually or in total.

* We may reject any ad deletion request(s) for any reason whatsoever.
