Be
sure that site you wish to submit
contains a significant amount of valuable (and
preferably unique) content related to
the Roman Catholic Church (or Catholic morals). Do not
submit sites that exist solely / primarily to
provide product or service information or which seek merely (or
primarily) to
promote sales / donations or publicize sites.
-
Submit
only sites that are in full communion
with the Holy See. Please do not
submit any sites operated by
individuals or organizations not in
full communion with the Holy See.
-
The
content of a site is more important
than its appearance. The
appearance of the site should be
acceptable, but more importantly, the
site should have substantial content.
-
All
sites submitted must conform to our code
of conduct.
-
CATHOLIC
sites only - NO generically 'Christian' sites.
-
All
sites submitted must fit into at least one of our standard Catholic
Web Links Section categories (other than Misc.). Note: Click
here for listing of categories.
-
All
sites submitted must meet all other general criteria [e.g. must be
Catholic, must recognize the pope, must have significant amount of
content on site, must not be an arm of or affiliated with a schismatic /
sedevacantist group or group trying to change the Church, no liberal
sites, no-anti tradition sites, no false ecumenism sites, sites must be of
general interest to Catholics (as applicable), etc.]
-
Limit
one submission per site.
Multiple submissions may cause the
request to be automatically
denied. If you know the site has
been submitted previously, do not submit
the site again. Repeat requests
may be automatically denied, regardless
of the reason.
-
Submit
only sites that will "wow"
us with their content.
-
Do
not submit sites that are already
included in the Catholic Web Links section. Before submitting
your request, be CERTAIN that the site is not already listed!
search the Catholic Web Link listings)
-
Do
not submit sites that are too
similar to others which are already listed.
-
Do
not submit any news related sites (instead try the Catholic
News Links Section)
-
Do
not submit sites which are difficult to navigate.
-
Submit
only sites that are fully completed
and are functioning properly. (No 'under construction' sites!)
-
Submit
only sites authored in the English language. U.S.A. / Rome-based
sites only.
-
There
are many good sites to consider and we
base our decisions whether or not to include
a link on our internal criteria and
subjective decisions. We are further limited by available resources.
If you submit a site which
is not added to the Catholic Web Links
section, please do not be offended or
consider it to be a judgment against
the site. In fact, you should
presume that most requests may not
be approved due to a variety of reasons, including those indicated
above.
-
Unless
you feel completely confident that a
site should be included here, know
that it meets all our requirements,
and are sure that it isn't too similar
to another site listed here, please do
not submit it for our
consideration. Please limit submissions to the "best
of the best" as we simply do not
have the resources to consider all sites that exist.
-
It
is acceptable to submit your own sites
as well as sites that you have no
affiliation with. Please limit
the number of your submissions,
however, and be very selective with those
you do submit.
-
Do
not submit sites which are not free to use. Avoid sending sites
which require registration.
-
Do
not submit sites with unorthodox content.
-
Do
not submit forums, blogs, portals, newsgroups, etc.
-
Do
not submit sites dealing with "modern
spiritualities" or movements (e.g. charismatics).
-
Do
not submit apparition related sites.
-
Do
not submit political sites, finance-related sites, humorous
sites, essay / opinion sites, philosophy sites, or sites dealing
with retreats or other events.
-
Do
not submit sites which do not display appropriate gravity
concerning religious matters.
-
Submit
only sites with actual domain names (e.g.
www.samplecatholicwebname.com, not
www.sampleispname.com/samplecatholicwebname.htm).
-
Avoid
submitting diocesan or regional sites.
-
Avoid
submitting religious order sites.
-
Avoid

-
Avoid

-

submitting links to pages where content is subject to frequent change.
-
Submit
only sites run by Catholic individual(s) or Catholic organization(s).
-
Latin
rite sites only (as applicable).
-
Limit
one submission per person, per month.
-
If
you are confident that your site is of
interest to our visitors, yet doesn't
appear in the Catholic Web Links
section even after you have requested
that it be added, consider listing the
site in one or more of our various commercial
sections. Note that
you may not purchase a listing
in the Catholic Web Links
section. You may, however, request
listings in our economically priced commercial sections. Note: Click
here for additional information on commercial sections.

-
Allow
a generous amount of time for sites to
be added to the Catholic Web Links section.
-
By
your submission, you give us permission to freely use your
contribution on our web sites, promotional materials, newsletters
(subscription and non subscription), advertisements, and for all
other uses and on all mediums that we may choose.

submit any other correspondence whatsoever to this e-mail address.
Any other correspondence is subject to automatic rejection.
