O
Jesus, my Savior and Redeemer, Son of the living God, behold we
kneel before Thee and offer Thee our reparation; we would make
amends for all the blasphemies uttered against Thy holy Name, for
all the injuries done to Thee in the Blessed Sacrament, for all
the irreverence shown toward Thine immaculate Virgin Mother, for
all the calumnies and slanders spoken against thy spouse, the holy
Catholic and Roman Church. O Jesus, who hast said: 'If you ask the
Father anything in My name, He will give it you', we pray and
beseech Thee for all our brethren who are in danger of sin; shield
them from every temptation to fall away from the true faith; save
those who are even now standing on the brink of the abyss; to all
of them give light and knowledge of the truth, courage, and
strength for the conflict with evil, perseverance in faith and
active charity! For this do we pray, most merciful Jesus, in Thy
Name, unto God the Father, with whom Thou livest and reignest in

O
most merciful Heart of Jesus, divine mercy-seat, for whose sake
the Eternal Father has promised that He would always hear our
prayers! I unite myself to Thee in offering to Thine Eternal
Father this poor and needy heart of mine, contrite and humbled in
His divine presence, and desirous of making complete reparation
for the offenses that are committed against Him, especially those
which Thou dost continually suffer in the Holy Eucharist, and more
particularly those which I myself have unhappily so often
committed. Would that I could wash them away with my tears, O
Sacred Heart of Jesus, and blot out with my own heart's blood the
ingratitude wherewith we have repaid Thy tender love. I unite my
sorrow, slight as it is, with the mortal agony which caused Thy
sweat to become as droops of blood in the Garden of Olives at the
very thought of our sins. Do Thou offer it, dear Lord, to Thine
Eternal Father in union with Thy Sacred Heart. Render Him infinite
thanks for the manifold blessings which He constantly showers upon
us, and let Thy love supply for our want of thankfulness and
remembrance. Grant me grace always to present myself in a spirit
of deepest reverence before the face of Thy divine Majesty, in
order thus to repair in some measure the irreverences and outrages
which I have dared to commit before Thee; grant also, that from
this day forth, I may devote myself with all my might to drawing,
both by word and example, many souls to know Thee and to
experience the riches of Thy Heart. From this moment I offer and
dedicate myself wholly to propagating the honor due to Thy most
sweet Sacred Heart. I choose It as the object of all my affections
and desires, and from this hour forevermore I set up in It my
perpetual abode, thanking, adoring and loving It with all my
heart, inasmuch as It is the Heart of my Jesus, who is worthy to
be loved, the Heart of my King and sovereign Lord, the Bridegroom
of my soul, my Shepherd and Master, my truest Friend, my loving
Father, my sure Guide, my unfailing protection and my everlasting

O
sweetest Jesus, whose overflowing charity towards men is most
ungratefully repaid by such great forgetfulness, neglect and
contempt, see, prostrate before Thy altars, we strive by special
honor to make amends for the wicked coldness of men and the
contumely with which Thy most loving Heart is everywhere treated.
At the same time, mindful of the fact that we too have sometimes
not been free from unworthiness, and moved therefore with most
vehement sorrow, in the first place we implore Thy mercy on us,
being prepared by voluntary expiation to make amends for the sins
we have ourselves committed, and also for the sins of those who
wander far from the way of salvation, whether because, being
obstinate in their unbelief, they refuse to follow Thee as their
shepherd and leader, or because, spurning the promises of their
Baptism, they have cast off the most sweet yoke of Thy law. We now
endeavor to expiate all these lamentable crimes together, and it
is also our purpose to make amends for each one of them severally:
for the want of modesty in life and dress, for impurities, for so
many snares set for the minds of the innocent, for the violation
of feast days, for the horrid blasphemies against Thee and Thy
saints, for the insults offered to Thy Vicar and to the priestly
order, for the neglect of the Sacrament of Divine love or its
profanation by horrible sacrileges, and lastly for the public sins
of nations which resist the rights and the teaching authority of
the Church which Thou hast instituted. Would that we could wash
away these crimes with our own blood! And now, to make amends for
the outrage offered to the Divine honor, we offer to Thee the same
satisfaction which Thou didst once offer to Thy Father on the
Cross and which Thou dost continually renew on our altars, we
offer this conjoined with the expiations of the Virgin Mother and
of all the Saints, and of and of the devout faithful upon earth, promising from our
heart that so far as in us lies, with the help of Thy grace, we
will make amends for our own past sins, and for the sins of
others, and for the neglect of Thy boundless love, by firm faith,
by a pure way of life, and by a perfect observance of the Gospel
law, especially that of charity; we will also strive with all our
strength to prevent injuries being offered to Thee, and gather as
many as we can to become Thy followers. Receive, we beseech Thee,
O most benign Jesus, by the intercession of the Blessed Virgin
Mary, the Reparatress, the voluntary homage of this expiation, and
vouchsafe, by that great gift of final perseverance, to keep us
most faithful until death in our duty and in Thy service, so that
at length we may all come to that fatherland, where Thou with the
Father and the Holy Ghost livest and reignest God for ever and
ever. Amen.
